Somatropin Pen Labels: Why mg, IU and mL Are Different

Read a Somatropin 100 IU pen label without confusing activity, mass and volume. Compare product documentation and device information before choosing a format.

On a somatropin label, mg describes mass, IU describes biological activity and mL describes liquid volume. They are not three interchangeable ways to read the same printed number. A pen labelled 100 IU is not a 100 mg pen or a 100 mL container.

SimplePeptide's Somatropin product is listed as 100 IU at IDR 4,000,000. Start with that exact presentation when asking for documentation.

Read the unit before comparing the number

Label elementWhat it identifies
mgMass of the specified substance
IUActivity expressed against the relevant biological standard
mLVolume of liquid
mg/mL or a stated activity per mLA concentration rather than the entire pack contents

A conversion requires information specific to the substance and finished presentation. Do not use a conversion remembered from insulin, another hormone or a different device.

The device is another part of the label

Official GENOTROPIN product information describes somatropin and its own cartridges and delivery devices. The compatibility and concentration statements belong to those named presentations.

A similar-looking catalog pen should not inherit those details. The active ingredient can be the same broad substance while the device, formulation, concentration and instructions differ. Matching the finished product is therefore essential before interpreting a dial or a cartridge label.

What to request when a listing is unclear

Ask for a clear image of the product label and the applicable instructions, showing the exact name, total contents, concentration where provided and batch identification. If two parts of the listing use different units, ask the supplier to reconcile them against the product documentation.

This is a documentation check, not an invitation to calculate a personal dose. Neither the total activity in a pen nor the price per unit determines whether somatropin is appropriate for an individual.

Compare the actual basket

If you are considering BUILT FOR MORE, its contents are Somatropin 100 IU and MOTS-C 32 mg. The two quantities use different units and refer to different ingredients. Adding “100” and “32” would not describe a meaningful combined strength.

The bundles page shows the named pair and its saving. Compare it with the exact two individual pens, not with a different Somatropin presentation that happens to have a similar number on the pack.

For a clear purchase record, keep the product name, unit, presentation and quantity together in the order confirmation. That avoids a simple but consequential misunderstanding: choosing a product by a large number while overlooking what the number measures.

Sources are linked beside the statements they support. Product prices and specifications were checked on 16 October 2026; confirm current details on the product page.
